Marçal Forés' feature film debut was the acclaimed "Animals" (Skeive Filmer 2013), and in "Amor Eterno", he explores the darker sides of cruising and casual sex.
Carlos is a middle-aged language teacher who daily visits a cruising area on his way home from work. One night he meets Toni, a teenage boy from his class, and they end up having sex in his car. For Carlos, this was a one-time deal, but Toni wants more and starts to follow him. Carlos caves, but as their relationship evolves, so does an increasing degree of darkness, until the truth finally surfaces about Toni and his mysterious group of friends.
One can draw certain parallels to Alain Guiraude's "Stranger by the Lake", but Forés' film is darker both in mood and visual style, with a nerve and a climax that will both excite and shock fans of the horror genre.
